Sandustry Guide
Independent Sandustry guide covering beginner routes, water, lava, resources, buildings, Game Pass, mods, maps, and factory mechanics.
Quick Start
Open these first when the factory starts producing Gold, leaking Water, or clogging byproducts.
Build the first Gold loop
Learn why Wet Sand, water control, and Shaker output define the opening.
02Control water before scaling
Water is useful, leaky, reactive, and easy to overextend.
03Route byproducts cleanly
Filters, thermal steps, and press drop height decide whether a factory keeps running.
04Fix the weird edge cases
Use careful pages for Haulers, exact layouts, and Demo routes before committing your main factory.
Production Routes
Problem routes shown as factory logic, not long paragraphs.
Popular Guides
Start here if you are stuck, lost, flooded, or trying to scale too early.
Sandustry Beginner Guide
A practical first route through Sandustry: collect Gold, unlock logistics, keep water controlled, and avoid early production jams.
Sandustry Water Guide
Water sources, Wet Sand, Wet Seeds, rain, steam, freezing, and common factory water problems.
Sandustry Lava Guide
Where Lava appears, how it interacts with Water and Snow, and why the Cinder process matters.
How to Move Lava in Sandustry
A step-by-step explanation of the Cinder process without overclaiming exact layouts.
Kinetic Slag Press Guide
How the Kinetic Slag Press works, why drop height matters, and how to prevent jams.
Community routeInfinite Water Guide
How infinite water is possible in principle, and what still needs current-build testing.
Resources
Water, Lava, Copper, Fluxite, and Artifacts organized around what each material does in a factory.
Sandustry Water Guide
Water wets Sand and Seeds, can come from lakes, underground deposits, Ice, Steam/rain, and Lumlings, and must be routed carefully because it can leak through many structures.
Sandustry Lava Guide
Lava is found deep in Lava Cave areas and is moved through the Cinder process: freeze it, break the solid form into transportable Cinders, move them, then reignite them.
Sandustry Copper Guide
Copper Ore appears in small underground veins, can be mined with digging tools, and produces Copper; later uses connect to liquid copper and power bricks.
Sandustry Fluxite Guide
The official term to use is Fluxite. It upgrades tools, weapons, and drones, appears naturally in limited amounts, and can later be produced with the Flux Emanator from Voidbloom.
Community routeSandustry Artifacts Guide
Artifacts are powerful ancient-civilization rewards tied to exploration and puzzles. The Locator and Voidjuice appear in later research, but exact artifact lists and rewards still need verification.
Buildings
Production structures and player search terms normalized into clear build pages.
Kinetic Slag Press Guide
How the Kinetic Slag Press works, why drop height matters, and how to prevent jams.
Community routeSandustry Processing Line Guide
A factory layout page for what players call a processing plant.
Test in saveSandustry Slag Burner Guide
A cautious guide for burning residue/slag and feeding it into the press.
Planter Box Guide
Wet Seeds, Flowers, Gold, Amethelis, and auto-harvest notes for Planter Box.
Mechanics
Direct answers for the searches players make when a factory stops behaving.
Infinite Water Guide
Infinite water is supported by official mechanic notes through Steam, rain, Snow, and Cryoblaster interactions, but exact machine layouts should be marked as requiring in-game verification.
How to Move Lava in Sandustry
Freeze Lava into Scoria, break it into Cinders, move those Cinders with Grabber, Conveyor Belts, or Launchers, then reignite them into Lava at the destination.
How to Break Crackstone
Crackstone is a hard solid material. Shovel and Gun do not work on it; official notes say other digging tools can destroy it, and nothing remains after it breaks.
Test in saveHow to Remove Haulers
Hauler Drone is automated material transport, but this guide does not yet have a proven remove/recycle method. Try workarounds only in a test save until the method is confirmed.

FAQ
Short answers for the questions players ask before trusting a fan-made guide.
Is Sandustry Guide official?
No. This is an independent fan-made site focused on practical routes and current-build cautions.
Why do some pages mention testing?
Sandustry is Early Access/Game Preview, so layout-dependent tricks can change. Pages that need testing are labeled before the steps.
Can I use this while playing?
Yes. The pages are written answer-first: short answer, checklist, route, mistakes, related guides, and FAQ.
